Nevaeh Baker

Bio

Hola, again, friends. My name is Nevaeh Baker. This is my second year at UC Blue Ash. I am a Pre Middle Childhood Education major: my focuses are in English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Spanish. I also plan to achieve my Master's Degree in Spanish Education within four years of earning my Bachelor's degree.

Family is extremely important to me. I am the oldest of four siblings. I have a sister, L, who is seventeen. We are eighteen months apart, exactly. Everyone always asks us if we are twins and even after we say no, they think we're lying! I've included some pictures of us below! Do you think we look alike?

I also have two little brothers. My little brother, G, is my whole heart. He's seven. When he was born, I was twelve. When my sister was born, I couldn't remember anything because I was too young. With G, I can remember everything. We definitely have a special bond. My third sibling is baby B. He is currently 8 months old. He makes me feel old! I was eighteen when he was born. Root for him, he's working on saying my name (bay-uh), for now I'm boom-boom.

Another important pillar in my life is my faith. I would consider myself a dedicated Christian and my relationship with Christ is the center of everything I do. I am also a worship leader at my home-church: Real Church, Goshen.

At UCBA, I am currently serving as a Student Ambassador. I have previously worked as a Student Orientation Leader (Summer 2021). In addition to Student Ambassador, I also work as a Front Desk Assistant (FDA) in Student Life. I also tutor and work at a Dry Cleaners in my town. In addition, I am a member of the UCBA Honor's College.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family; playing piano, guitar, ukulele and/or singing; writing poetry and short stories; reading; painting; online shopping; or talking to my plants.

I have 11 plants! I named them all...Frida, Florence, Maisy, Sonrisa, Lorelei, Veronica, Rupert, Lexi, Judith, Josefina, and Joy. One last piece of info: did you know plants grow better when you speak kindly to them? They do! It's scientifically proven! Imagine what speaking kindly to humans can do!

I'm so excited to be an Ambassador this year!
